TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) A statistical correction by Alabama has given quarterback Blake Sims 27 more yards and the school's single-game record for total offense.

Alabama had initially given Sims a 30-yard loss after Florida defensive end Dante Fowler returned his second-quarter fumble 27 yards. It now goes down as minus-3 yards.

That moves Sims from a tie with Scott Hunter for the single-game record of 457 yards total offense set initially against Auburn in 1969. Sims now has 484.

Sims had 445 passing yards and 39 rushing yards in the third-ranked Tide's 42-21 victory. It was the second-best passing day for an Alabama quarterback behind Hunter's 484 in the 1969 game. It also raised Alabama's total offense from 645 yards to 672.

Either way, it was the most yards Florida has allowed.
