Southern Illinois beats Missouri State 32-22

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) Cameron Walter ran for 210 yards, and Southern Illinois snapped a three-game losing streak on Saturday with a 32-22 win over Missouri State.

SIU (6-4, 3-3 Missouri Valley) took the lead for good at 29-22 on Ryan West's 36-yard touchdown pass to Tay Willis early in the fourth quarter.

Thomas Kinney's 47-yard field goal made it a 10-point lead with 2:42 left and the Salukis defense held Missouri State to a four-and-out to seal the win.

West finished with three touchdown passes, and Willis had eight catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

Walter carried 37 times, becoming the first Saluki to run for over 200 yards since Deji Karim's 273 yards against Illinois State in 2009.

Missouri State (4-6, 1-5) trailed 22-16 at halftime and pulled even on Marcelo Bonani's two field goals in third quarter. Calan Crowder had 25 carries for 120 yards for the Bears.
