Kendall Houston ran for two touchdowns as South Alabama controlled possession in a 33-30 win over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday.

Both teams had 325 yards of offense but the Jaguars (4-2) ran for 146 yards, compared to 114 by the Skyhawks (3-3). Houston led the way with 87 yards on 16 carries, including two touchdowns as the Jaguars amassed a 33-13 lead.

The running game led South Alabama to maintain possession for 38:02 compared to 21:58 by Tennessee-Martin.

Jordan Means kicked a 32-yard field goal with 1:22 left in the third quarter to give the Jaguars a 33-13 lead, but the Skyhawks would chip in to it.

Tennessee-Martin brought it to the final margin on DJ McNeil's 1-yard TD run with 22 seconds to go.

Derek Carr finished with 177 yards, two touchdowns and an interception on 18 of 32 passing for the Skyhawks.
