While preliminary reports indicate that he didn't sustain a major injury, Arizona's star LB Scooby Wright is expected to have further evaluation on his knee done this weekend, a source told FOX Sports Friday afternoon.
The 6-1, 250-pound junior -- the reigning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year -- led the 'Cats in total tackles (163), tackles for loss (29), sacks (14) and forced fumbles (six) in 2014. Without him Thursday night, the Wildcats allowed 525 yards in a 42-32 win over UTSA.
"I hate to speculate," Rich Rodriguez said at his postgame news conference Thursday night. "Our medical people are going to check his knee out. I don't think it's bad, MCL, ACL, whatever. So we'll see what happens."
