COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) Reserve offensive lineman Na'Tay Rodgers is no longer with South Carolina.

Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said Sunday the redshirt freshman is seeking a transfer. Spurrier said Rodgers had some problems with team policies the coach would not disclose and that all thought it was in the player's best interest to participate elsewhere.

Rodgers is a 6-foot-5, 280-pound lineman from Waldorf, Maryland. He sat out last season and had hoped to gain time as a backup this year on the Gamecocks offensive line. But he was not part of the team's two-deep lineup in a 45-42 overtime loss to Tennessee Saturday night.

The Gamecocks (4-5, 2-5 Southeastern Conference) have this week off before returning to play at Florida on Nov. 15.
