Reports: Tennessee lands 4-star defensive tackle Shy Tuttle

Tennessee picked up four-star recruit Shy Tuttle on Friday, according to multiple reports.

Tuttle is the No. 42 recruit in the country in the Class of 2015, based on 247Sports Composite rankings. The 6-foot-3, 315-pound defensive tackle from Lexington, NC, also received offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and others.

He reportedly announced his commitment at his high school, North Davidson.

How badly did the Vols want to add him to their roster? Last month, Tennessee mocked up a Rolling Stone cover of him walking side by side with Beyonce in an apparent effort to impress him.

247Sports currently ranks the Vols' 2015 recruiting class as seventh-best in the country and fifth-best in the Southeastern Conference behind Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina, and Texas A&M.
