He loves the U. He loves the U not. He loves the U. He loves the U not.

It seems nearly every day there's a differing report that Texas coach Charlie Strong is either interested in the vacant Miami head coaching job, or at least that he would be interested if contacted, or that he isn't interested.

In fact, FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman told Miami’s 790 The Ticket that he "keeps hearing" Strong is interested in the Miami job.

On Tuesday came a rebuttal from Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods.com. He says, according to a source, that Strong has not spoken with anyone associated with the Miami program, and that Strong has apparently become "irritated" by the persistent reports.

Last month, Strong laughed off a report that he would listen to Miami if contacted. At the time, he said he has the best job in the country.

Texas is 4-6 and in jeopardy of not qualifying for a bowl berth after finishing last season 6-7 and with consecutive blowout losses to TCU and then Arkansas in the Texas Bowl. Strong is 10-13 in his nearly two seasons as Texas' coach.

If the Longhorns don't make a bowl game, the rumors will likely only heat up, at least until Miami hires somebody other than Charlie Strong.
