Report: Vernon Adams hurt finger last week, aims to start vs. Spartans

Oregon Ducks quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. suffered an index-finger injury on his throwing hand against Eastern Washington last weekend, according to a report by ESPN. Adams also left that game after taking a brutal hit late in the fourth quarter.

According to the report, Adams has been icing his hand.

Despite the injury, Adams intends to start Saturday against Michigan State.
In his first start for the Ducks, Adams was 19-of-25 for 246 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 94 yards on the ground in Oregon's 61-42 victory.
