Published Nov. 24, 2015 3:09 p.m. ET

In what isn't a total surprise of an announcement, South Carolina receiver Pharoh Cooper announced Tuesday that he was forgo his senior season and will enter the 2016 NFL Draft.

The junior pass-catcher out of North Carolina has been the Gamecocks' best receiver the past two seasons -- leading South Carolina in both receptions and receiving yards.

When looking at his complete body of work, there's no question Cooper will go down as one of the best to ever play at the school. His versatility, overall athleticism, and toughness are defining characteristics of his game.

As his father told The State on Tuesday, "[Cooper] definitely appreciates the opportunity to play for South Carolina, and we as parents appreciate the opportunity they gave him. He wants to ride the wave at its high point."
