Missouri will be unveiled as the 14th member of the Southeastern Conference early next week, Sporting News reported Saturday, citing sources.
Missouri is expected to play in the SEC's East Division from next year after negotiating its buyout from the Big 12.
Like another Big 12 team, Texas A&M, which has already been accepted by the SEC, Missouri will be a complete conference member and share equally in the league's revenue, the report said.
The move would have been announced sooner but there were a number of hold-ups, including negotiations with the Big 12 on an exit fee. The league's administrators also did not want to take any focus off Saturday's marquee game between LSU and Alabama, which LSU won 9-6 in overtime.
