Report: Jameis Winston scored 27 on Wonderlic test
By Larry Brown
Jameis Winston is making a case for being one of the top quarterback prospects in the last few years, and his Wonderlic test score certainly aids his case.
Yahoo Sports reports that Winston scored a 27 on his Wonderlic, which is a very respectable mark for a QB. That is one point shy of the 28 scored by Super Bowl winners Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson, and Drew Brees. It’s also equal to what Joe Flacco scored and two points higher than Ben Roethlisberger’s 25.
Yahoo points out that other star QBs such as Andrew Luck (37), Aaron Rodgers (35), Tom Brady (33) and Philip Rivers (30) also had very high scores.
Winston had a 4.0 GPA in high school and is regarded as one of the smartest/most mentally well-prepared quarterback prospects in years. Looking at these numbers and facts make his off-field problems and concerns even more confounding.
