Report: Henderson among six suspended

Six University of Miami football players have been suspended for the 2011 season opener for a violation of team rules, NCB Miami has reported.

While the report did not state whether the suspension was levied by the university or from within the football program, it did identify the players as offenisve lineman Seantrel Henderson, running back Storm Johnson, linebacker Kelvin Cain, defensive lineman Dyron Dye, and defensive backs Devont'a Davis and Keion Payne.

According to the report, Miami's media relations director stated that coach Al Golden is on vacation and could not be reached for comment and that they would neither confirm nor deny the suspensions.

Miami opens it season on Sept. 5 at Maryland.
