Report: Former OSU QB Luke Del Rio headed to Florida

According to a report by The Oregonian, former Oregon State QB Luke Del Rio will transfer to the University of Florida.

Del Rio, who announced last month he would be leaving the Beavers program, will enroll at Florida this summer and is required by NCAA rules to sit out the 2015 season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining, beginning in 2016.

Florida will mark Del Rio's third collage stop in three years. Before coming to Oregon State, Del Rio walked on at Alabama and redshirted the 2013 season.

In three appearances as Sean Mannion's backup in 2014, Del Rio completed 8-of-18 passes for 141 yards. Though he would have been a contender to replace Mannion in 2015 at OSU, his pro-style wasn't an ideal fit for OSU head coach Gary Andersen's new system.
