Report: Charlie Weis believes his coaching days are over
Have we seen the last of Charlie Weis on the sidelines of a football field?
The 58-year-old former Notre Dame and Kansas head coach told the South Bend Tribune that 'it's highly doubtful that I will ever coach again."
The Jayhawks fired Weis four games into the 2014 season after hiring him to lead the program in 2012. Weis compiled a 6-22 record in Lawrence.
Weis came to the college game amid much fanfare in December 2004, when the Irish hired him to replace Tyrone Willingham. After winning 19 games in his first two seasons in South Bend, Weis never won more than seven games before he was dismissed in 2009.
Weis spent the 2010 season as offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs before taking a similar role with the Florida Gators in 2011.
