Pyror reportedly has suspended license

Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who is facing investigations into allegations he received improper benefits including cars from a local dealership, has been driving on a suspended license, USA Today reported Wednesday.

Pryor, 21, had his driver's license suspended last month after he failed to show proof of insurance during a traffic stop in February, a spokeswoman from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles said.

"His suspension was related to the Feb. 17, 2011, conviction," Lindsey Wayt Bohrer of Ohio's BMV told USA Today. "His court date for this was April 2. We didn't receive the paperwork from the court on this until April 14. Then we give the customer 30 days' notice before suspending.

"To lift the suspension, he must show proof of insurance from the Feb. 17, 2011, date. As of now, he has not shown proof of insurance. If he shows proof of insurance, the suspension will be deleted. If he does not show proof of insurance, he will have to pay the reinstatement fee and be suspended through at least Aug. 18."

According to The Columbus Dispatch, investigators from both the NCAA and Ohio State have interviewed the Buckeyes quarterback several times over the past few weeks to determine how he has been able to drive more than six different vehicles during his three years in Columbus.

Last December, Pryor and several other players were suspended for five games by Ohio State for selling or exchanging personal memorabilia in exchange for cash and tattoos. The allegations eventually led to the resignation of Buckeyes head coach Jim Tressel on Monday.

Pryor reportedly drove to a players-only meeting Monday night after Tressel's announcement in a black Nissan 350Z sports car with 30-day license plates.
