Prukop leads Montana St 77-37 rout of UC-Davis
DAVIS, Calif. (AP) Dakota Prukop passed for 361 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 148 yards and two more scores to lead Montana State to a 77-37 win over UC Davis on Saturday night.
The Bobcats (5-2, 3-0 Big Sky Conference) broke the game open by out-scoring the Aggies (1-5, 0-4) 21-0 in the second quarter to lead 35-10 at the half, en route to their second-highest output in history (86 against Eastern Oregon in 1985).
Prukop is the first MSU player since Travis Lulay (542) in 2004 with more than 500 yards of total offense. He completed 17 of 22 passes and rushed 14 times. The Bobcats finished with 737 yards, a school record.
Davis had 610 yards. Ben Scott completed 27 of 46 passes for 379 yards and four touchdowns.
In scoring on 10 offensive possessions, MSU only faced eight third downs, converting five, and converted one fourth-down play.
