Connor Kavanaugh passed for 216 yards and ran for 125 Saturday to lead Portland State to a 38-3 victory over Idaho State.

Kavanaugh completed 15 of 19 passes and threw two touchdowns for the Vikings (2-2, 1-0 Big Sky). Cory McCaffrey added 166 yards rushing and a touchdown on 24 carries, as Portland State piled up 531 yards of offense.

The Vikings held Idaho State (1-4, 0-3) to 3 yards rushing and 195 yards of total offense. Bengals quarterback Kyle Morris was just 13 of 33 passing for 192 yards and two interceptions.

The game was played in Hillsboro, a suburb of Portland, because the Vikings' regular home field, PGE Park, is under reconstruction. It was Portland State's first home game of the season, drawing 5,025 fans.
