Pooch gets Crimson Tide makeover

To anyone at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) who sees the photo below, please book a plane ticket to Alabama right away.

As posted on Reddit, one die-hard Crimson Tide fan decided to turn his or her pet poodle into a walking testament to their love of Alabama by a) Dying it primarily red; and b) Shaving its hair to form a white script “A” on its back.

Some people might defend this by pointing out that the poodle’s owner can do whatever he or she wants to the dog and that said dog appears happy in the photo below. Neither of which are good enough reasons to make us think that making your dog look this ridiculous is anything other than animal cruelty.
