The University of Arkansas says coach Bobby Petrino has been cleared to watch his football team practice after being treated for injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

Athletic director Jeff Long says Petrino will speak to the media Tuesday afternoon after being released from a hospital and that doctors say he can watch practice from the press box at Razorback Stadium.

Arkansas State Police say Petrino was injured Sunday when he wrecked his motorcycle on Arkansas Highway 16 in Madison County.

Gov. Mike Beebe said Petrino sounded ''upbeat'' when they spoke after the crash. The governor said he was encouraged by the call.
