Part 2: Which commitments can help Florida in 2016?

When looking at the current recruiting class for the Florida Gators, there's an embarrassment of top defensive talent within the group.

With multiple players ready (and likely) to perform right away, two stand out in terms of potential depth needs heading into 2016.

LB David Reese

Depth at linebacker for the Gators is precariously thin -- especially at middle linebacker. Both Antonio Morrison and Anthony Harrell have departed via graduation. Jeremi Powell has also decided to transfer from the program.

As such, Reese looks like a potential first-year player for the Gators. A native of Michigan, the Scout.com 4-star linebacker opted for Florida over the likes of Texas, TCU, Nebraska, and Michigan. He's a physical, nasty player with very good intuitiveness.

Fortunately for both Reese and the Gators, he is an early enrollee to the university. This will enable Reese to acclimate to the collegiate level in a number of avenues. He'll be able to get a jump on things from an academic standpoint.

Reese also benefits from learning the playbook, and getting into a college weight lifting program before many of his other classmates will in the summer.

DE/OLB Antonneous Clayton

Clayton may possess the fastest first-step of any prospect in this entire class.

A Georgia product, Clayton has fast-twitch muscles one dreams about when constructing the ideal hybrid outside linebacker/defensive end.

With Jonathan Bullard leaving for the NFL, the Gators have a massive gap within their defensive front seven. While it's naive to believe Clayton can come in from the get-go and replicate Bullard's production totals, he can impact things rushing the passer -- especially in third-down situations.

Clayton does need to get bigger and physically stronger, but there's no denying his immensely impressive set of physical tools.
