Oregon State's Gary Andersen: We're a 'day-by-day' team right now

Most coach in the Pac-12 has to believe that they will contend for the conference title. However, very few will admit that their team had a long way to go. Oregon State's new head coach Gary Andersen seems to understand the task ahead of him.
When asked at Pac-12 media days about how he sees his team right now, Andersen said the following:
"Well, everybody's going to sit here and say they can contend for a conference championship, obviously. For us, we're really a day-by-day working team right now. We are so youthful. We have to worry about today and then take on the fights for tomorrow and find a way to be consistent. I think that's our challenge. We have some very talented pieces of the puzzle. I guess you could say unfortunately everybody in this league has some very talented pieces of the puzzle."
It seems like he's ready for the challenge but understands that the Beavers have a long way to go.
