NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma running back Keith Ford will miss his third straight game Saturday against Texas with a fractured right fibula.
Ford has been out since he was injured in the third game of the season against Tennessee. Coach Bob Stoops provided an update on his status through a spokesman on Tuesday.
Ford led the Sooners with 194 yards rushing through three games and was one of the team's top receivers with 100 yards on six catches. Against Tennessee, he ran for 56 yards and a touchdown and caught a 23-yard touchdown pass.
Since Ford's injury, Samaje Perine has become the Big 12's leading rusher. The freshman has rushed for 506 yards and eight touchdowns in five games.
