Oklahoma QB breaks foot in practice

Oklahoma quarterback Kendal Thompson broke his right foot in practice and is expected to be out until early in the regular season.
Sooners coach Bob Stoops said the sophomore quarterback was set to have surgery Thursday.
Thompson did not throw a pass last season was competing with Blake Bell and Trevor Knight for the starting job, though Bell has been considered the front-runner to win the job.
Thompson did not play in a game last season after redshirting in 2011.
