Six Ohio State football players were among the individuals who graduated from the university Sunday, including Joshua Perry and Michael Thomas.

Perry, a senior linebacker whose degree is in family resource management, and Thomas, a junior receiver who majored in sport industry, were both starters last year when the Buckeyes won the national championship.

Thomas is Ohio State's leading receiver with 49 catches for 709 yards and eight touchdowns. He caught 54 passes for 799 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

Thomas has a year of eligibility left and has yet to declare whether or not he will use it or enter the NFL draft.

Perry is second on the team with 98 tackles this season, including 7.5 for loss. He led the national champion Buckeyes in stops last season with 124, including 8.5 for loss.

Two other reserves on the national championship team -- receiver Jeff Greene (sport industry) and linebacker Camren Williams (communication) -- also graduated along with two players from the late 1990s.

Ben Gilbert (family resource management) was a three-year starter on the Ohio State offensive line from 1997-99 while Reggie Germany (sociology) was a two-year starter and led the team with 43 catches for 656 yards in 1999.

Urban Meyer and Cardale Jones were among those to congratulate the new graduates.
