Two days after criticizing the play calling and the performance of the coaches in Ohio State's loss to Michigan State, running back Ezekiel Elliott released a statement on the matter.

Elliott, who questioned why he did not get more than 12 carries against the Spartans and said the players were not put into position to succeed, followed up Monday by saying he was "sorry for all those offended."

Shortly before Elliott posted his statement, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer told reporters in Columbus that Elliott had already apologized to him and would face no punishment as a result of the matter.
