Houston Nutt may be returning to the ranks of college head coaches.
Nutt is set to interview for the University of South Florida’s vacancy, a source told FOXSports.com on Tuesday morning.
Nutt, 55, has 19 years of college head coaching experience at Mississippi, Arkansas, Boise State and Murray State. Nutt’s longest tenure was at Arkansas (1998 to 2007). He led the Razorbacks to a 75-48 record before resigning.
Nutt then went to Mississippi and enjoyed initial success with back-to-back 9-4 seasons. Nutt, though, was fired after the Rebels slipped to 2-10 in 2011.
