SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) Notre Dame running back Greg Bryant is eager to show people what he can do after a disappointing freshman season.
He had just three carries for 14 yards through the first three games last year before a torn meniscus in his knee ended his freshman season. Toward the end of the season and when he returned home to Delray Beach, Fla., he heard people describe him as a bust.
The 5-10, 204-pound back believes the work he did since being injured made him faster. Irish coaches are most impressed by his power. Running back coach Tony Alford says when Bryant hit something, it moves.
Bryant says the challenges he went through were humbling, but he believes in the long run it will help him.
