Notre Dame AD denies blocking Everett Golson's transfer options
Notre Dame has come under fire after FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman reported that the university is blocking some of quarterback Everett Golson's transfer options. According to Feldman's source, the Fighting Irish wouldn't release Golson to any school they play in 2015, plus some Big Ten programs.
Now, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick is firing back in an attempt to debunk Feldman's report.
"It’s just not true," Swarbrick said, per Brendan Sonnone of the Orlando Sentinel. "The way this process works is a student identifies schools they would like to consider and we have not denied a single school that Everett Golson identified as one he has an interest in going to."
Another source corroborated Swarbrick's claim to ESPN's Brett McMurphy.
With Florida State looking like the favorite to land Golson, according to Ryan Bartow of 247Sports, we may never know whose sources were correct.
