North Dakota State takes down Youngstown St 38-14

FARGO, N.D. (AP) Carson Wentz threw for two scores and ran for another to lead North Dakota State to a 38-14 win over Youngstown State on Saturday.

Wentz connected with Zach Vraa for 18 yards, added a 17-yard rushing TD and hit Andrew Bonnet for a 9-yarder to give North Dakota State a 28-0 halftime lead.

John Crockett carried it 28 times for 168 yards and had a 4-yard TD for North Dakota State (11-1, 7-1 Missouri Valley Football Conference). King Frazier rushed for 45 yards and added a 10-yard score in the fourth quarter.

Hunter Wells threw for 135 yards and two scores for Youngstown State (7-5, 4-4), but was hurt by three interceptions.

Christian Dudzik had two picks, Nick DeLuca had the other, Derek Rivers recovered a fumble and the Bison defense held the Penguins to 216 total yards.
