North Dakota goes to 7-0 in Big Sky, stop N. Colorado, 23-13

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) John Santiago rushed for 204 yards while North Dakota limited Northern Colorado to just six yards on the ground en route to a 23-13 victory Saturday, the eighth-straight win for the Fighting Hawks.

Starting in place of the injured Keaton Studsrud, Ryan Bartels threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Luke Mathewson midway through the third quarter to put North Dakota (8-2, 7-0 Big Sky) ahead 20-7.

Reid Taubenheim added field goals from 24, 40 and 34 yards.

The Bears came into the game averaging 36 points and 448 total yards. North Dakota limited them to just 275 total yards.

Kyle Sloter was 26 of 47 for 269 yards and two touchdowns to lead Northern Colorado, but was intercepted twice, once in the end zone.

North Dakota faces Northern Arizona in its season finale with at least a share of the Big Sky Conference crown on the line.
