Nicholls St erases deficit, beats Langston 42-22

Marcus Washington ran for 121 yards and scored twice as Nicholls State overcame an early deficit to defeat Langston 42-22 Saturday night.

The Lions (0-3) jumped ahead 16-7 after Talibb Woods returned a Washington fumble 47 yards for a touchdown.

Beaux Hebert brought the Colonels (2-2) back, throwing two of his three touchdown passes in the second quarter, including a 3-yard toss to Washington on fourth down to put Nicholls State up by five late in the half.

Washington had a score on the ground and Tuskani Figaro hit Carey Fortson for a touchdown in the second half to extend the lead for the Colonels.

Hebert finished 10 of 16 for 142 yards.

Figaro had 10 carries for 84 yards and threw for 64 on two completions.

Josh Hanberry scored on both of his two receptions, totaling 30 yards.

Langston's Kievon Jackson ran nine times for 68 yards.
