RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) North Carolina State says top receiver Bo Hines is transferring to an Ivy League school.
School officials said in a statement Saturday night that Hines has requested and received a release to transfer.
Hines had team bests of 45 catches and 616 yards as a freshman for the Wolfpack (8-5), who beat Central Florida 34-27 in the Bitcoin Bowl on Friday night.
Hines says his goal is to pursue ''a specific career path in law and politics'' and says enrolling at an Ivy League school will help make that happen.
