NC A&T scores 21 in 3rd, dominates Lynchburg 38-7

Sophomore Lewis Kindle threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns as North Carolina A&T beat Virginia University of Lynchburg 38-7 on Saturday in the season opener for both teams.

After a scoreless first quarter, Kindle found Ricky Lewis on a 58-yard touchdown to put A&T up 7-0.

The Dragons, playing in their first football game in over 70 years, recovered six A&T fumbles, but only scored on one of them.

In the third quarter, with the Aggies up 10-0, Kindle connected with Wallace Miles on a 52-yard scoring strike and to Lewis again on a 34-yard touchdown.

Kindle closed out the scoring with a 65-yard score to Larry Raper. His passing total was good for fourth on the all-time A&T list for a single game.

The Aggies had two receivers reach the 100-yard plateau, as Miles had 152 yards on seven catches, while Lewis added 100 yards on three grabs.
