Montana suspends Strahm for first two games

(STATS) - Montana senior linebacker Connor Strahm, who was charged with driving under the influence last month, has been suspended for the first two games of the season, the university announced Friday.

Strahm, from Eugene, Oregon, was arrested by Missoula police on July 15. The DUI charge was his first offense, according to reports.

The Montana athletic department said Strahm received the two-game ban for violating its student-athlete code of conduct. He will miss games against Valparaiso (Sept. 2) and Washington (Sept. 9).

Strahm finished with 70 tackles last season, ranking second on the team.
