Watch one of Michigan State recruiting’s top 2017 pledges, Hunter Rison, make an incredible catch during his high school game last week.

The 2017 Michigan State recruiting class under Mark Dantonio might not get the respect it truly deserves. There are some major hidden gems in the group, but some fans are so worried about star rankings that you couldn’t even convince them otherwise.

One of those gems has to be four-star wide receiver Hunter Rison, the son of former Spartan receiver great Andre Rison. He moved to Michigan from Arizona last year and has been playing for Ann Arbor Skyline ever since — he was teammates and good friends with former five-star target, and current Notre Dame linebacker, Daelin Hayes.

Rison has had his fair share of impressive games since attending Skyline and even though his team had a forgettable 2015 season, he made a name for himself without the help of his dad.

It looks like he’s getting the 2016 season off to an incredible start as well, putting up big numbers through the first three or four weeks of play. Just check out this incredible circus catch the senior receiver who will be in the green and white next fall made last Friday against Saline:

Hunter is ranked No. 321 in the country as well as the 43rd-best receiver and ninth-best prospect in the state of Michigan, according to the 247Sports composite.

At one point, Hunter had de-committed from Michigan State last fall and it looked like he’d be taking his talents to another program, but he was eventually drawn back “home” to East Lansing. He’s a huge get for the Spartans.
