Clemson receiver Seth Ryan, the son of New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, broke his collarbone at practice Monday.
The school said Ryan was making a diving catch in the end zone when he got hurt. Ryan is a redshirt freshman who sat out last season, his first since enrolling at Clemson.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said Ryan was playing well, but will be out for a while with the injury. Swinney said he expected the 5-foot-11, 160-pound Ryan to be a good player for the Tigers down the road.
The Jets coach has spent plenty of time at Clemson with his son. He attended the Tigers' 38-35 victory over Georgia last season at Death Valley. He has been a regular at Clemson's pro prospect days in recent seasons.
