Late field goal lifts Holy Cross past Bryant 34-33

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) Connor Fitzgerald kicked a 31-yard field goal with 13 seconds remaining as Holy Cross scored twice in the closing minutes to rally past Bryant 34-33 in a non-conference game on Saturday.

Peter Pujals threw an 11-yard TD pass to Khalif Raymond with 6:16 to play, pulling the Crusaders (4-4) to 33-31. Pujals, the leading passer in the Patriot League, completed 30 of 53 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns.

Brendan Flaherty caught one touchdown pass and ran for another.

The game matched two top quarterbacks as Bryant's Dalton Easton - the Northeast Conference leader at 243.6 yards per game - threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns as the Bulldogs (4-4) surged to a 31-24 lead with two scores in the third quarter.

Bryant had two chances after the Crusaders closed to 33-31, but punted each time.
