Lambert, Ramsey taking most first-team QB snaps for Georgia
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) It appears Georgia is headed toward another change at quarterback.
Coach Mark Richt says Brice Ramsey and Greyson Lambert have received most of the first-team snaps in practice this week. That makes it unlikely Faton Bauta will make his second straight start on Saturday against Kentucky. Richt said Bauta remained in the picture.
Bauta threw four interceptions while making his first start in last week's 27-3 loss to Florida. Georgia was held without a touchdown for the second straight week. Lambert, the Virginia transfer, started the first seven games but was benched following a shaky 9-6 win over Missouri.
Ramsey was the top backup to 2014 starter Hutson Mason.
Richt is under increased pressure as Georgia (5-3, 3-3 Southeastern Conference) has lost three of its last four games.
