Caleb Barry threw for 4 first-half touchdowns as Lamar dominated Bacone College in a 53-0 rout Saturday night.

The Cardinals (2-2) rolled up 497 yards on the Warriors (2-2). Freshman Kade Harrington ran for 143 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries while Reggie Begelton snagged 6 catches for 78 yards and a pair of scores to lead the receivers.

Lamar's defense was just as dominant, allowing only 128 yards and forcing four turnovers. Kyle Kuban, one of three quarterbacks to see time for Bacone College, connected on only one of his 13 attempts and was picked off twice. Karl Birkenfield also threw two interceptions, finishing the game 1 for 6.

Since restarting the program in 2010, Lamar has never lost to an opponent outside of NCAA Division I. The Cardinals will take on Grambling State next week before opening conference play against Sam Houston State on Oct. 12.
