Kentucky senior center Jon Toth recently accepted an invitation to play in the 2017 Reese’s Senior Bowl, one of approximately 110 seniors and fourth-year junior graduates honored to participate.
Toth, considered one of the top centers in the nation, captained an offensive line unit that helped rack up an incredible 241.2 yards per game, and a whopping 5.5 yards per rushing attempt. Two of the team’s main running backs, Boom Williams and Benny Snell, broke the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season.
Toth has tremendous size, at 6-5, 310 pounds, yet has the foot speed to pull or get up field on running back or wide receiver screens. His individual gamer performances have garnered him recognition as a potential ALL-SEC and All-America candidate. Toth is also on the watch list for the Remington Trophy, awarded to the country’s top center. A three-time SEC academic honor roll student as well, the Indianapolis native will likely transition from Kentucky’s first bowl appearance of his career to preparing for the NFL Combine, as Toth will be playing on Sundays next Fall.
