Houston quarterback Case Keenum became the Football Bowl Subdivision's all-time leader in total offense in the first quarter of Saturday's game against Marshall.
Keenum, a senior in his sixth season, came into the game needing 130 yards to eclipse the record (16,910 yards) set by Hawaii's Tim Chang from 2000-04. He moved past Chang's mark on a 30-yard pass to Justin Johnson with 3:56 left in the quarter.
Keenum was granted a sixth year of eligibility after tearing a ligament in his right knee early last season. He's also within reach of the all-time records for passing yards and touchdown throws.
