WASHINGTON -- A group that is hoping college athletes will be able to unionize will be taking their message to Congress this week.

Former Northwestern quarterback Kain Colter and National College Players Association President Ramogi Huma are scheduled to travel to Washington on Tuesday and will meet there with lawmakers on Wednesday.

Huma says he's hoping to clear up any misconceptions that lawmakers have about their intentions. Colter says the primary goal is to ensure that college athletes have their basic rights such as health care ensured.
