J.J. Laster rushed for 177 yards and scored two touchdowns and Rudell Small ran for 168 yards and added three more scores as Jacksonville beat Marist 56-14 on Saturday.

The Dolphins (7-1, 5-0 Pioneer Football League) rushed for a school record 433 yards, breaking the previous mark of 389 yards set in 1998. It is the fourth highest rushing total this season in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Jacksonville, which had 658 yards in total offense last week at Valparaiso, racked up 577 total this week. The Dolphins have had more than 500 yards in offense five times this season.

Laster scored on a 71-yard run in the first half as the Dolphins scored on their first two possessions. Small, who also had 53 yards receiving, scored on a 64-yard run in the second half.

The Dolphins defense held Marist (2-5, 1-4) to 40 yards rushing.
