Iowa RB Robinson to miss Insight Bowl
Iowa says starting running back Adam Robinson won't make the trip to the Insight Bowl for failing to comply with team policies.
Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz also announced in a statement Monday that oft-injured back Jewel Hampton will transfer.
Ferentz says Robinson will not play against Missouri for failing to comply with ''team expectations and policies'' but will have the option to rejoin the team in January.
Robinson, a sophomore, led the Hawkeyes (7-5, 4-4 Big Ten) with 941 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns this season.
Freshman Marcus Coker will likely get the start against the Tigers.
Hampton tore the ACL in his right knee and missed the 2009 season. He then blew out his left knee in a loss at Arizona in September and had just 114 yards rushing this season.
