Indiana's top rusher, Darius Willis, has been lost to a season-ending knee injury.
The Hoosiers said Thursday that Willis has a patellar tendon injury and will undergo surgery next week. He'd been listed as doubtful for Saturday's game at Arkansas State.
Willis injured his right knee during practice last week and sat out against Ohio State. He had 64 carries for 279 yards and four touchdowns this season and was fifth in the Big Ten in scoring at 7.5 points per game.
Coach Bill Lynch hasn't said who will replace Willis on Saturday. Against Ohio State, Trea Burgess, Antonio Banks and Nick Turner combined for 23 carries and 69 yards.
