Hammond out for Florida's season opener

No. 4 Florida will be without reserve receiver Frankie Hammond Jr. for its season opener Saturday against Miami of Ohio.

Coach Urban Meyer says Hammond, who was charged with driving under the influence this summer, could be back next week against South Florida.

Meyer says Hammond's status is ''week-to-week.''

Hammond, a sophomore from Hollywood, had four catches for 57 yards and a touchdown last season.
