Georgetown gets by Bucknell, 17-9

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) Jo'el Kimpela ran for 142 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown and Justin Hill added seven catches for 114 yards and a score to help lead Georgetown to a 17-9 victory over Bucknell on Saturday.

The Hoyas quarterback duo of Kyle Nolan and Tim Barnes combined for 156 yards passing with a touchdown, a 40-yard strike from Nolan to Hill late in the second quarter which gave Georgetown (4-4, 2-1 Patriot League) a 10-6 lead at halftime.

John Burdick's 38-yard field goal for Bucknell cut the lead to one in the third, but an 11-yard TD run by Kimpela in the fourth put the game out of reach.

R.J. Nitti completed 28-49 passes for 338 yards and a rushing touchdown to lead Bucknell (3-4, 0-2). C.J. Williams had 103 yards rushing and Bobby Kaslander had 100 yards receiving.

Georgetown won despite being outgained 412-288 in total yards.
