Fresno State hires Jim Bartko as AD

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) Fresno State has hired Jim Bartko as its new athletic director.
The school announced Friday that Bartko will replace Thomas Boeh, who took a new job at the school in August.
The 49-year-old Bartko has 26 years of experience in athletic departments. He has spent most of his time at the University of Oregon, where he was most recently the executive senior associate athletic director. He also worked briefly at the University of California.
Bartko is a Central Valley native who was born in Stockton and attended college at Washington State.
