Florida State president fires back after Marco Rubio's trolling

It has become the newest war of words in the Sunshine State.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, one of the many candidates running for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, has caused a stir back home with comments he made on an Iowa radio show, in which the graduate of both Florida and Miami took a shot at both schools' mutual rival, FSU:

That move is not sitting well with those in the Seminoles’ fan base, including the school’s current president, John Thrasher, who dropped the mic with his simple response:

Rubio, even when trying to do damage control, still took a shot at the 'Noles:

With all due respect, senator, some may not construe that as college football smack talk. You went after the school’s academics, not Dalvin Cook’s performance on the field. There’s a difference.
