Florida has new OC in mind
Florida has targeted Boise State's Brent Pease to replace Charlie Weis as offensive coordinator.
The Gators met with Pease on Friday, but they might have to wait until next week to get an answer because Pease is reportedly scheduled to interview with Alabama coach Nick Saban for the Crimson Tide's open coordinator job.
Alabama's Jim McElwain took the head coaching job at Colorado State last month. He will remain with the Crimson Tide through the Bowl Championship Series national title game Monday against top-ranked LSU.
The 47-year-old Pease spent the last six years at Boise State. The former Montana quarterback left briefly following the 2010 season to become Indiana's offensive coordinator, but returned a short time later to take the same job with the Broncos.
